Primary Colours presents Installation Nation. A jury selected 10 artists to create installation pieces within 7 large, metal shipping containers.
Through the generosity of the Efroymson Family Fund, each selected project was given $750 toward the completion of the artists’ vision.
At the event, attendees can wander in and out of the containers. Under big tents, local business will sell food and beverages, and local musicians will perform. Admission is $8. Kids under 12 get in free. Friday night coincides with First Friday, the monthly art gallery walk, and will serve as the after-party with Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association (IDADA) members receiving a $3 discount.
Hours are Friday 6 p.m. – 1 a.m. and Saturday 5 – 11 p.m. Because this is an outdoor event, patrons with limited mobility are warned that the gravel lot may pose difficulty.
This year’s event is the second Installation Nation, and Lockerbie Park Brownstones and Meridian Arch once again donated the site.
