Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

This will be my first time being in Indiana during the 4th of July weekend, so I'm wondering is there anything special that typically happens?

I've been told that I have to clean the garage--uh, yeah right...I'll probably be sewing pants!

Fireworks, downtown. An Indy tradition since 1976!

Would that be "damn independence" or "Damn! Independence is Great!" It's all about the rights we have. The right to fly the flag, the right to not be in town but to be holed up in a B&B, the right to watch or not watch fireworks, the right to be with friends or not with anyone and the right to clean the garage or not clean it. The right to decide what you want to do. and not have someone else tell/command you. Isn't that right Mr. Stuck!

Nwokedi, thanks for coming by yesterday and bringing Rui with you! After you left, the second wave of revelers came by and I got a chance to talk with Mike from AIT about you (um, while we were lighting fireworks and throwing those popper things at each other--such children!). Let's see how this progresses!

ha, sounds like the real fun was had when I left. I neglected to mention that I have access to camcorders, so for folks who don't particularly care to produce their own videos, I can help in that arena as well.

In other news, those turkey burgers didn't last until midnight...funny how appetite works :o)
