Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

We’re a small shop of seven people, and our VOIP phone system by Aptela is just not keeping up.

Pros:
* nice professionally recorded auto-attendant
* one number, multiple extensions
* voicemail is emailed to the recipient
* the actual VOIP Polycom phones are great

Cons:
* call quality tends to suck
* what else matters??

So, we’re looking for some other options.

If you sell phone systems, great...I want to hear from you. But I really want to hear from other small shops that like and would recommend their phone system.

Any help y’all can provide would be most appreciated.

Jon,

I just emailed you a contact. He is in Mooresville, and is a shop of about 6-8 people. He'll take care of you!

Marissa, Adam,
we have a dedicated DSL connection that we bought just for the phones, and it's still not all that great. some days are ok, other's are not. at it's best, it just feels like a bad conference call or walkie talkie where if two people are talking it's all garbled.
Jonathan,

I work for eGIX, we are a telephone company and also a Hosted IP provider. I can explain the issues you are having and the possible solutions. I have worked with other people in the past who where unhappy with Aptela.

How about coffee or a quick phone conversation?
to be honest with you no one can really recommend a phone system without getting more information from you. Each system has its positives and negatives, and without knowing what characteristics are most important with you (e.g. lowest price, fastest service response time, most features, etc.) its hard to find the best fit.

We recommend various companies including, but not limited to, Egix, Paetec, SaveItNow!, and Axia depending on which is the best fit for the individual client.
Hi Jon -

We implement Asterisk based PBX/VoIP phone systems. Feel free to give me a call if you want to talk more. We would be happy to supply (local) references.

I have a similar sized business and I absolutely love Got Vmail. They market it as the "entreneuers phone system". You can increase your number of extensions as your business grows and there are so many options and ways to taylor it to your business that its one of the most versatile phone systems I've seen! You can check it out at www.gotvmail.com
We sell VOIP and hosted VOIP system - regards - jack carr - Lightbound
