Making people and ideas findable

I've recently got myself a new laptop as a replacement to my desktop. I was thinking about putting my desktop up on ebay, but I would be tempted to sell it to a company that bought used pcs. I know I wouldn't make very much, but it might be worth it considering I wouldn't have to deal with the hassels of ebay(taking photos, dealing with the buyer, and etc.).

Brett:
Concur with you regarding hassles of eBay with time and effort required, not to mention pc's are a glut product there.
Several places sell refurbished pc's though I imagine most were trade-ins or purchased at school and business auctions because selling at $75-$200 there just wouldn't be much markup room if indeed the units were refurbished.
Dependent upon the age and condition local avenues would also seem as likliest for turnaround time.
Possibilites for your consideration would be advertising it right here on Smaller Indiana, free ad in the INDIANAPOLIS STAR if under $100, the old Thrifty Nickel or American Classified as currently known, and Craig's List, although personally I'd also consider a yard sale, (my own or someone I know.)
Last, and not at all my least favorite idea, donate it. Goodwill, AmVets, St. Vincent dePaul, Good News Ministries and several more have thrift shops No money upfront but your tax deduction could benefit you more than the actual dollar value. Choice of this route makes having paperwork documentation of value and a couple pictures to support your claim a prudent idea.
Good Luck!
