Making people and ideas findable

I'm testing out a simple, free mashup that connects your Eventbrite events with your twitter account. If you use both and would like to try it out (and help me test), please let me know.

Hi,

I use Eventbrite and would be interested in learning more about the mashup with Twitter. Please, tell me more.

Thank you,

Emily
Noah...I use Eventbrite, and would like to test the Twitter mashup for several upcoming events...sounds interesting.
The mashup basically lets you connect your Eventbrite account to your Twitter account. This allows you have your twitter account automatically update whenever someone new registers for one of your events (for example: "John Smith just signed up for the Bigger Ideas conference").

The site is still very rough and I'm still building out features, but the core feature works.

If you'd like to help test, just create an account here: http://tweetbrite.com/new_user.php

Feel free to email me if you have questions or need help. Thanks!
That's all it does is update you on registrations? I already get E mail updates to my cell phone...I was thinking the mashup would support twittering / tweeting at the event itself...no?
For now, that is all it does. But, the point isn't so much to keep you, the event organizer, updated. The point is to let others know when people register. This was something I want to do for Blog Indiana 2009, but I thought other event organizers might also like that kind of functionality.

What kind of functionality specifically were you thinking it would do at the event? I know Eventbrite has released some interesting check-in functionality that I would love to integrate somehow (i.e. tweeting when attendees are checked in, so other attendees can see who is "here"). But, that data isn't in their API yet.

If you have other ideas on how it could work, please let me know.
Oh. Well that makes sense. I can see how it would help build buzz. Not exactly sure about new functionality...I see people tweeting at events all the time...just wonder if eventbrite would add any value in that arena. Perhaps not.
