Hi Steph,

I just saw your post and thought I would give you some hope. I am an Executive Sr. Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics. I have a Masters Degree from IU in teaching at the University Level. I joined MK because I needed $50 a week extra to help support myself with 2 other jobs while I was in school. Once I got into MK, I found there was more to this company than meets the eye. I have just returned from a premier Regent Seven Seas cruise to the Greek Isles that I earned as a top preformer in this company. There were many 20 year olds that have joined and are setting up their life by working for a company that rewards what you are worth based on talent and work ethic rather than being paid what a job is worth.

It is very frustrating to go through school, graduate and find the job market as tight as it is and have to sacrifice and work a job for cash but not have a strong career path. As you are looking for a company to work for there are 3 things that are significant: great product, great company and great people. We are blessed to have all 3. My suggestion to you, is to not close your mind to opportunities that may come along that maybe outside the box of Corporate America. If you are talented and want to work, self employment is rewarding and gives you total control of your destiny. However, there are companies that I have seen come and go that promise you everything. Be smart, do your homework and if you would like to contact me further on what to avoid or you would like further information about Mary Kay, contact me at rstevens1@marykay.com.
Blessings for a successful future,
Randi
hey steph,
have you ever thought to try out rainmakers? We host many events each month which would help you network and also we offer many training sessions and so on. We would love for you to check out (www.gorainmakers.com) and see if any of our upcoming events fit into your schedule and you should absolutely come check us out!

feel free to contact me with any questions!

Carrie :)
