Making people and ideas findable

Senator Evan Bayh will be returning home next week for the August recess.

I would like to know your answer to the following two questions:
1) IF a town hall meeting can be organized on the Senator's calendar, will you attend? Yes or No
2) We're likely to have little notice to coordinate the event. Will you make it a priority? Yes or No

Thanks all!

Why is anyone really surprised....Evan is too smooth and too catious to be caught out in the open at a uncontrolable Town Hall Meeting...Told you this yesterday....

I suppose that we are supposed to go away quietly so that our President can get on with what he thinks is important and as far as he is concerned.....forget about free speech-watch it in his own words:

I hope Senator Bayh's aid has joined SI and is reading these posts... Frankly and bluntly, I find the Senator's ducking of this request to be revolting AND REVEALING. He doesn't care what you think. He doesn't want to hear your opinions. He's simply too busy for you, you Peasant Hoosier. So, us lowly Peasant Hoosiers will just fall in line with whatever His Majesty requests and shoves down our throat as if we SERVED him... No more protests from us, Dear Senator, we'll just be quiet and let you rule.

Signed: Your Peasant Hoosier Servant Ron Brumbarger

Smaller Indiana has decided to hold a debate on the issue of healthcare Check out details here

We figured it would be a good idea for us citizens to get together, put forth our opinions, get educated...and come together to drive positive change for our society.

Hope to see you there!

Yes and yes. . . if Bayh has read the bill and doesn't just spout the same 'canned' lines his office gave me in response to 2 intelligent emails I sent him. And they didn't answer my questions. . . which is becoming par for the course of the folks who have forgotten they work for us - not party leadership or even the POTUS.

Yes I would make it a priority to attend. I sell insurance and specialize in medicare related products. I would love to hear what he says and how he will approach this topic. I am open to compromise and hope he is too. Also what he thinks about the cap & trade issue. thanks and I hope you can set this up. Jeanie

This would be a very interesting town hall meeting. If you have read the bill, you'd really know what is going on and what they are trying to do with the American people. I am totally AGAINST this bill and EVERY American should be against the bill. I doubt Congress has even read the bill and if they have and they agree, personally I think THEY should be the ones who have to utilize it and take part. But I'm sure they are all excluded from it and will all receive the best of medical care -- unlike what they are trying to push on us.

I want to attend this meeting and if you want help organizing it and pulling it together, let me know.
