I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband, the love of my life! A fantastic son, and wonderful friends!

OMG! I just saw this on GoodNewsNetwork.org. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29158546/

A little boy with learning disabilities connected with a Marine in Iraq through the Adopt A Soldier program. The soldier seemed to know just what to say to inspire Jacob to learn to read and write - and Jacob's mom is exploding with gratitude. Jacob signs his letters to Baltazar, I love you very, very, very much.

And in the video on MSNBC you can watch the whole story, including Jacob getting to speak live with Baltazar for the first time (through a video feed). It was so sweet and inspiring I nearly fell over!

I have a very blessed life! One of the best things in my life is sharing it with my Husband and our furry kids. Every day they all make me laugh.

Everything is magical in my life. As long as I get enough sleep, exercise, and the right grub. It is true. I appreciate the crap out of a brilliant blue sky, checking the trees for signs of leaves, my dog's fanny wiggling when I walk her, eating peanuts, feeding squirrels and watching them pick up food with their precious tiny paws.......I am so grateful for all of it. SHannon, thanks for starting this. Didn't surprise me one iota to see you are the concocter of such a group. Go, GIrl!

First, I'm thankful for SmallerIndiana, a place to connect with heartfelt Hoosiers.

Second - and I'm so excited about this - I stopped by PetSmart to pick up pet valentines and was blessed to meet and greet two precious puppies. I was jumped on and laughed at by a Golden Doodle. (Truly, he opened his mouth in a big laughing grin.) And a little girl boxer was so happy to have a new buddy that she kissed me up and nearly wiggled herself silly. Totally made my day!
