Definitely interested in the 15% program! Sounds like a win-win situation.
Jeff Bowe Comment by Jeff Bowe 19 hours ago
15% Off is one thing. 15% In is quite another.
((Yes this will be a bit of a sales pitch but think about the message.))

We believe in our economy. Sure some segments are pretty tough but there is no industry that has completely disappeared. Our economy is going to turn around and those who plot the right course now will grow during this blip and come out geometrically stronger than their competition—some of whom will not make it out at all. To grow a business now means taking market share. It happens every day and you can be on the winning end or losing end—it’s your choice.

We believe in ourselves. Let’s face it—the last thing most people are doing right now is looking for places to spend money, regardless of how bad their sales trend is. But the bottom line is your sales skills have never been more important. The more competition you have, the more you have to be able to sell them. Our track record tells us that when our clients show up, pay attention, apply and integrate new behaviors and tactics, amazing things happen. We’re confident that record will continue.

We want to believe in you. We are looking for 5 sales teams of 2-5 people each, up to 20 sales people, who want to be high earning sales professionals during this economic blip but right now are more like struggling sales workers. If you want to be a successful sales professional, or if you want your team to be successful, we’re willing to let you go 15% in and we’ll earn the rest. You invest only 15% of our normal training fees, and we’ll get paid more only if we can change your sales results. Email us at jeffbowe@actumgroup.com to find out how to get started.

I bet you and your team get paid for results, why shouldn’t your sales trainer?

Hello everyone, my name is Nichole and I am in the works of creating a business that helps workforce development as well as job creation. I have so many ideas, I am researching everything I possibly can to narrow down my exact focus. I am excited to be a part of Smaller Indiana - this is a great site!!

Actually Karen, I had only one thought in mind, was wondering if I was missing something. I agree on the business plan, but I am pushing people to start selling now for next year. Most people think they will start selling next year in January but unless you have a 24 hour sales cycle, what you do now will set 2009 off in a good or bad trend. Too many people plan but don't implement it soon enough. We, for lack of a better term, "beat" our clients weekly on this in class, that action is more important than planning. Keep working the plan, making the calls and contacts every day no matter what happens, good or bad in your sales week. A great plan with poor execution is much worse than an average plan with great execution. At least, that's my thought. I'd be curious about experiences to show otherwise.

Lynn...I forgot about taxes! Oops! Good thought. My thinking on taxes this year is the opposite of most years. I think taxes are going up next year, so my plan is to move income to this year and defer expenses to next year--the opposite of normal or typical tax advice. What do you think? Any accountants advising either way this year?

I'm with Karen---I'm in suspense. The only other thing I can think of is related to taxes. In my personal situation, I take a look at my tax situation this time of year and see where I am-----

Sorry Jeff, I misunderstood the question. I thought you were just trying to get a dialog started by asking for our opinions. I didn't realize you were looking for a specific answer.

How long are you going to leave us in suspense? :-)

Karen,
We are 50% on the same page. That is important, but I bet there's another key too. Anyone out there think what else we should do?

Quick intro - I own Insight2, an innovation firm that helps businesses identify and develop new products and services. We do a lot of in-home observational research to gain understanding of how consumers interact with products and create new product ideas that satisfy the unmet needs that we uncover! No two days are ever the same around here. One day watching people groom horses, the next observing how people host large outdoor parties!

Changing the Veteran Stereotype 3 Replies

The media (and even recent politicians) really paint a sad picture of what it's like to be a Veteran nowadays. There's the one picture of a Veteran sleeping under a bridge, and there's the other pi...

I thought it might be good to start with figuring out where we served in the military and how we serve our business community here in Indiana.
