Here's a workshop I thought women business owners in particular might find timely: Get on Top of the Bottom Line – finding funds for your business - on Oct. 24 at IUPUI.

So, if you're wondering how to sustain and grow your business in these increasingly tough economic times, you don’t want to miss this Main Street Institute opportunity to meet fellow women entrepreneurs and get tips and tools for growing your business. You'll hear from and participate in a lively panel discussion with experts from M&I Bank, the Small Business Development Center, National Association of Women Business Owners, and the IU Kelley School of Business Women’s MBA Alumni Advisory Board. The panel discussion will be followed by roundtable discussions with the panelists and other experts.

Here are the details:
October 24, 2008
Breakfast / Registration 9 a.m.
Seminar 9:30 a.m. to Noon
Where: IUPUI Campus Center Room 450 A & B
420 University Blvd. (convenient parking in Vermont Street garage)
Registration: www.events.indychamber.com
$30 Public / $10 IUPUI Student

Main Street is a partnership of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and Kelley School of Business, and provides events with useful information.

A new Children's Charity Needs You!

Step Up 4 Kids will be throwing it's third fund raiser: Return to Prom Youth Benefit on Saturday Sept. 27 from 7-11 at Allison Mansion.

It will be hosted by Grace Trahan and feature local band Greta Speaks

Tickets cost $50 each but I will give it to the first two people who promise to blog about the event before and after the event. I will provide you with some background info first.

The event site is here.

Mobile Marketing? I know this is the Midwest, but there is a cost effective method of initiating a mobile marketing campaign. Whether your company is a restaurant, entertainment venue, or anything in between, if you have customers, mobile messaging can help.

Indy Mobile Marketing is a full service mobile messaging and WAP development firm. Our mobile web site www.indymm.com is a mobile event guide with opt-in subscription for visitors. If your company is exploring mobile messaging, we would be happy to answer any questions.
