It seems like I, like so many, are discovering this super networking site. I own "Custom Creations in Glass", here in the Irvington area. We are a full service Stained Glass center. We design & fabricate custom stained glass panels, provide repair/restoration services, offer lessons and have a large selection of art glass, tools and supplies.

I'm looking for local interview subjects with health care horror stories for a series of video shorts to produce online. Contact me for more details: austinconsidine@gmail.com.

See my website for a sense of who I am, and for my brief bio, which includes work for The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle and Chicago Sun-Times. Looking forward to hearing from anyone who's got a good story to tell!

Pecha Kucha Indy Volume 6 - This Friday Night at the Harrison Center

We have a great lineup for our sixth installment of Pecha Kucha Indy this coming Friday, August 14th, at the Harrison Center. Join us for Indy's best open mic night as we explore topics including Spectralism, Enver Hoxha: The Strangest Dictator, and Mid-Century Modern Dinnerware. And big news about PK7 will be announced! Doors open at 7:30pm, PK at 8:20pm. Tickets are 2 for $25, or $15 each presale through Eventbrite @ www.pkindy.org

About Pecha Kucha
Pecha Kucha, literally meaning "chit-chat" in Japanese, is a
grassroots movement started by architects and designers to remedy
long-winded lectures and frivolous presentations. The movement has
spread to cities across the world, including Amsterdam, Beijing,
Berlin, Budapest, Hong Kong, London, Portland, Nagano, Toronto, and
Indianapolis.

The name is hard to pronounce, but the concept is simple. In one
corner, the presenters have only six minutes and forty seconds to
convey their idea in twenty slides. In the other corner, a
well-stocked bar.

And in the middle: you. The two corners will compete for your
attention; get a drink and you've missed what could be the most
influential idea of your career. Pay attention and you'll miss your
third or fourth drink.

Conversation among the audience, especially during timid or dull
presentations, is heavily encouraged. This is social networking come
to life.

Business presentation, meet rock show. Bullet points, meet fight
club.

If you have general questions about Pecha Kucha Indy, please email
info@pkindy.org or visit www.pkindy.org

See you there!

Hello everyone! I just found your group.

I am a professional photographer from Dillsboro, Ind. I work full-time as a PR/Grant Administrator in the tourism industry and spend the weekends photographing for my Fine Art Photography collection that I display in galleries/outdoor exhibits, or doing outdoor portraits/commercial work.

I once owned and operated a custom picture frame shop in Florida (for 15 years) and still mat and frame my own work. When I have time I enjoy writing, having once freelanced (writing/photography) for newspapers.

I am a member of the VSA in Washington DC., having been diagnosed with cervical dystonia (30 years ago) and hearing loss recently. Wow! Just within the last year people have talked about my "disabilities". Hmm...never really thought of myself that way!

My website is located at www.photographybykendal.com. (And yes, in need of improvements, I'm afraid). I was thankful to have been featured on the ArtsWORKS Indiana site recently. http://artsworkindiana.org/index.php?pageId=47

I'm looking forward to networking with everyone!

I'm a Smaller Indiana "newbie" and am very excited about this group in particular! I own a custom cabinet /millwork /furniture company called mobelwerks, inc. Mobel is the German word for furniture and we are a German family owned company. We love working with creative people and we pride ourselves in our attention to great design. Can't wait to connect with many of you and bounce around creative ideas!!! I have a slideshow of some of our work on my profile page. Hope you'll check us out!
