Comment by Rebecca McArdle on February 21, 2012 at 1:06pm Hi there! I'm a home staging expert here in Fort Wayne, I'm looking to connect with my community so I can share how Staging helps houses get off the market faster and for a more profitable sale. If you know of anyone that is selling their home, please share my site Stunning Staging & Redesign LLC or send their info my way and I'll be happy to reach out to them. Thanks!
FEMALE ARTISTS SOUGHT TO GO RED
The American Heart Association and glo magazine are hosting a Go Red For Women© contest to design the cover of the magazine’s February 2012 issue. The contest is open to all female artists. In honor of American Heart Month in February and Go Red For Women, cover designs must include a woman or women and the color red – the rest is up to the artist!
Submissions from all professional, original 2D artwork (excluding photography) are accepted and must be at 10”x9 ¾” at 300 dpi resolution. Entries must be received by Jan. 9, 2012.
Besides having their design used on the cover of the February issue of glo, the artwork will also be used on material promoting the 2012 Go Red For Women Luncheon. In addition, the winning artist will receive two tickets to the luncheon and a Go Red gift basket containing a Swarovski pin, $25 Macy’s card and much more - valued at over $150.

Help Turn the White House Red
25,000 signatures. That's what the American Heart Association needs in the next 30 days (ends Jan. 4, 2012) for the White House to consider its petition to illuminate the building in red in honor of National Wear Red Day® and American Heart Month. February is American Heart Month and National Wear Red Day is celebrated on Friday, Feb. 3.
The association is asking that Allen County area residents show the White House how important it is to remember women who died from heart disease, celebrate women who have survived, and educate everyone on our No. 1 killer of both men and women. To sign the petition to turn the White House red, follow these steps:
1. Visit the special petition page on WhiteHouse.gov or click on http://tinyurl.com/WhiteHouseRedPetition
2. Create an account (we know, what a pain!)
3. Watch for a verification email.
4. Sign the petition.
5. Ask your friends, family and coworkers to sign it, too.
Red is the color associated with Go Red For Women, the American Heart Association’s movement that celebrates the energy,
passion and power we have as women to band together to wipe out heart disease in women.

Comment by Brandon Croft on March 2, 2011 at 12:52pm The American Heart Association is offering women the opportunity to share their stories for chance to become a local or national Go Red For Women® spokesperson. In January and February, casting calls will be held in conjunction with Go Red Connect events being held across the country. Five women from the casting calls will be selected to serve as national spokeswomen for Go Red For Women, appearing on marketing materials and at events while serving as ambassadors for the cause. Women from the casting calls will also be selected to serve as the faces of Go Red For Women in their communities.
Fort Wayne will host a Go Red For Women Connect event with a casting call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, at the Parkview Women’s Health Center, 11123 Parkview Plaza Dr. Suite 200. At the casting call, women can share their story on why they are passionate about speaking out against heart disease in women. Women attending the casting call are encouraged to wear red for the taping. Women can also choose to share their story in writing instead of on video at the event.
Women attending the free event can also register to win Go Red For Women prizes, pick up a Wear Red Day kit for their company to prepare for National Wear Red Day on Feb. 4, and obtain information that will help them lead heart-healthier lives.
