We manufacture and sell a solar thermal panel that we developed that is the highest rated panel in the world. I own Square Rootz Deli in Fountain Square @ 1110 Prospect, I have found it easy to recycle, reduce and reuse many things that we use in my business. We compost coffee and tea grounds, all non processed fruits and veggies were up to 60 pounds of compost per week and we donate it to Big City Farms. We recycle not only in the dining room where people can see but also in the kithcen. We reuse many of our containers that we get in from suppliers ie, cottage cheese, sour cream, mayo, salad dressing containers, no need to purchase a lot of storage containers when we get them for free delivered with product in them. We recycle bottle caps and milk cartons by donating them to artist. Our goal is to have only one bag of trash per day. Next in line is getting biodegradable carry out containers, they are very expensive but it will happen within the next few months. Were also going to recycle a neon sign for the biz.

We also support 11 different local companies by selling their items in our market area and use items in our kitchen from 9 different local vendors.

Two other businesses that are in the same block as my business also recycle, New Day Meadery and White Rabbit Cabaret. Come support us and if you know of any vendors that we could help promote in our market area please send them our way.

Thanks! Jeff
