Duke,

I am afraid it will be too loud at a restaurant during lunch time. Thank you for suggestion though. Are you planning on attending?

Greg,

The first meeting will be on February 11th at 11:30 AM. We have the office downtown - Chase tower on the top floor. I am not sure that it would be the most convenient place for everybody. It requires driving downtown during the lunch break (parkin etc), so we are open for suggestions on the place for the first meeting. We could easily meet at any of green business location. Please let me know if you would like to host the meeting. I would think the ideal place would be somewhere at the midpoint between North and South side, around 50th-96th street.

So Lena,
What time is the first meeting? Oh, and where?
My wife is a make up artist and is doing a fashion show on Feb. 7. It's for Black History Month and it's in the atrium at the main library. Anyway, gonna try to make both so let me know as soon as you know.

Thanks,
Greg

Noblesville has a great recycling program here. We do pay a small fee (just started this year) for our waste removal but it includes every other week recycling removal. They supply us with a full size garbage can for our recycling.

We as a family have more recyclables then garbage so we are always dropping stuff off at the recycling drop off, thankfully it's right down the road from us.

I will say that they just started the curb pick up about 5-6 months ago and people are finally recycling more. I hated driving through our development on pick up day and seeing all the trash that could be recycled. We are a family a four and only have 1 garbage bag a week while everyone around us always had a two or three cans full on pick up day.

Just a thought...
A friend of mine was telling me about other cities where recycling curb side is free but folks are charged for trash. Why not do that in Indiana?
I have talked to people who say recycling is a hassle. OK, if we make it cost effective does that change the "hassle factor"?
I think it would.
I live in Plainfield where recycling is free. I could go for it here too. Every week we crush and cram our recycling materials to make them fit into the little orange tote. Some weeks we carry over. And, that's taking the paper to a drop anyway.
Let me know what you think Green Network members.

Hi Lena,

This is a wonderful idea, and I look forward to watching it grow and networking with out green business' in the area.

Being green has been a way of life for my family for years now so it was just natural that we find ways to offer green services through our business and that our business does what ever it can to be green as well.

I'm very excited to get to know everyone better and learn what green services they offer as well.
