Hey Lena,

Happy to join the group. There are a lot of IT principles that can be engaged at every business level to help companies increase their green initiatives. Go paperless, consume less power through virtualization, and many many more. Good luck in getting this going!! I will invite everyone that I know. If there is anything that I can do to help you just drop me a line.

Greg,

I agree with you 100%.This pioneer advantage of green businesses allows businesses to reap the biggest economic benefits as well as personal satisfaction by doing well for themselves and doing good for the rest of the world. Therefore Green business can be profitable and environmentally sensitive – a win-win!

Thank you for your comments. Looking forward to see you at the GBN first meeting, which will be held on February 11th

Lena,
Thank you for starting this group. As a remodeling and building contractor I have been frustrated by the lack of green interest in Central Indiana. It is nice to see a group on SI that will focus on networking for green professionals.
Yes, there is money to be made with green. But, for my company/family, it's really about stewardship of the world we are all on for a short time. It's also about my head hitting my pillow at night knowing I did the best I could that day for my community, planet, faith and family.
I am in business to make a profit...I don't deny that. However, I have always believed that doing an energy effecient project, with resource and stewardship considerations should be the first focus. There may be less profit at the end of the gig but still a profit. It is with these kinds of responsible choices that make it possible to receive more blessings.
At any rate, thank you again. I am hoping and praying for great things from this group.

Take care,
Greg

Don,

Thank you for your endorsement. One of my purposes for this network is to engage "regular businesses into green movement, green way of thinking. In essence, green businesses is the future of all the businesses in the world of limited resources
There is also a great opportunity to make fortunes. Businesses that realize this huge opportunity have the advantage of being the innovators of new products and services, and being on the forefront of the economic and social movement

Hi Lena,

I am happy to see you begin and take charge of this group. From what I know of you and your "Green" initatives, this will be a great forum and network for those who desire to not only grow their "Green" business but to make a difference for future generations!

Let me know how I can help!

Don
