I loved the Indiana Dunes in NW Indy. Other great spots include Clifty Falls, Turkey Run, Brown County State Park and, of course Eagle Creek. Camping/hiking is a must do at least a few times a year. :)

I understand Dunes State Park is awesome. Haven't been there myself.

Try to plan a hike this weekend, most likely northern Indiana. Any suggestions?

Although I have not hiked everywhere in Indiana we do have some nice trails for hiking and backpacking. I particularly enjoy the Northern loop of the Knobstone trail which starts at Delaney Park near Brownstown, In. Morgan-Monroe State Forrest has two great trails which both are approximately 10 miles long. Great Fall hiking on any of these trails.
