HMBA wins DNR partner of the year award

On March 5th, the Hoosier Mountain Bike Association (HMBA) was awarded the partner of the year award at the DNR annual meeting. This meeting was attended by every State Park and Forest Manager as well as all of the DNR leadership.

4 years ago, HMBA was working hard just to get Park Managers to meet with us. After this meeting, Park Managers where busy trying to sell to us how great there park would be for mountain biking.

Now the challenge will be to build trail as fast as the Park Managers want them.

We are also involved in the Indy Parks 2008 planning. This involves attending public meetings, and also working with our Indy Park contacts to advocate for mountain bike access.

2008 is going to be a busy year for trail builders.
