Making people and ideas findable

I'm curious as to what apps people are using to Twitter. I always tried to get active but just using the Web was cumbersome to me. I got a new Pre yesterday and started messing around with Tweed yesterday. Then I installed TweetDeck on my PC this morning and am loving it!!

Do you use anything in particular or just rely on the web interface?

TweetDeck is the way to go for sure. I also know people that use Seesmic for PC and say it has similar functions to TweetDeck.

I use Twhirl about 75% of the time. I like Seesmic Desktop, too, but just isn't as elegant as Twhirl. I'd probably switch fully to Tweetdeck if the iPhone app (the syncing of groups is great) would not crash so often.

I use Tweetie for the iPhone right now and love it.

Twirl is great program for drive-by-tweeting / a quick check of updates. Tweetdeck and Seesmic allows grouping and more options for reading who you follow. There are many add-on services out there. I really like TwitApps for monitoring when people unfollow you. TwitterLocal is nice for discovering new people in a certain area, especially your own!

I'm probably not - in fact, I know I'm not - using Twitter optimally. I've had an account for a while, and never got into it until a colleague showed me Tweetdeck. I purchased a Blackberry, and have found that ubertwitter has really propelled my twitter usage significantly. I'm finding that my Facebook usage has gravited towards more friends and family, and I use twitter for business, news and community activity.

okay, i feel like i'm a tweeting dinosaur.

i can send tweets by my cell phone and i use the web interface. but it sounds like i really ought to give tweetdeck a look. (because twitterfox is pretty nerve wracking when i'm trying to chat with folks)
