Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Due to comments in the affiliate marketing group, I've created this discussion to discuss the idea of having an Indiana affiliate conference. I think a LOT of people would be interested, especially within Smaller Indiana. I know there were many affiliates and people interested in affiliate marketing at Blog Indiana. We'd just need to ask the Smaller Indiana folks to either host it or promote it to members. With 7,000+ members, surely we could get at least a hundred folks together. But it's a big project, and probably could not be done before 2010.

What about if we set it for around February or March and talk it up in Vegas at Affiliate Summit in January as well?

Do you know Shawn Collins and/or Missy Ward at Affiliate Summit, Tricia? I could see us doing a regional of what they're doing - with them helping/sponsoring or something. I think we should get the Blog Indiana people involved, too, since they've done a couple local conferences in a similar concept.

Tricia is on the board at Affiliate Summit I believe and I know Missy fairly well as well. So I am sure that we could talk to them about it.

February or March is a good idea, that would give enough time to create something special.

I vote March. It would definitely be a bad idea to do it during 4th quarter because I honestly doubt any of us have the time to throw it completely together and host in in Q4! Wheew .. lol

Do you want to take the leadership position on this, Tricia? I can help...
