Thank you, Elizabeth and IBC for the tickets for Phantom of the Opera. As a person with dance experience, my wife was impressed with the simplicity and technique and the emotion of the dancers. A perfect way to spend Halloween! A high level of excellence, creativity and professionalism are marks of the IBC - Thank you!

Over the weekend, My husband and I had the opportunity to attend the Indiana Ballet Company's performance of Phantom of the Opera at the Walker Theater! This was the first time my husband and I have had the chance to attend a ballet together. We really loved it! The performers were wonderful and completely captivating. I hope to be able to attend more ballets in the future and I would highly recommend it to others! They even have performances of the Nutcracker coming during the holiday season!

Thank you so much to Elizabeth and the IBC for sharing the opportunity with Smaller Indiana members and smoosiers. It was a wonderful performance and a very awesome event for Halloween weekend!

Thanks!!!

My husband and I attended the Friday night showing and absolutely loved it. We've both never been to the ballet before, so we weren't really sure what to expect. It was wonderful, and now something we plan on doing more often together. Even without the storyline provided in the program, it was easy and enjoyable to tell what was happening through the dancing and the music.

Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for hosting me and Jennifer Saturday night for the Phantom of the Opera performance by The Indiana Ballet Company. What a great way to spend Halloween! Being a graphics professional I personally enjoyed the intimate setting of The Madame Walker Theater as well as the beautiful presentation from the entire company. I especially liked the lighting. Bravo!

Went to the last night show of Phantom of the Opera. It was breath taking. There were many times I should have shared a bravo or applause but I was mesmerized by the performance. For those who were unable to attend you must go and see The Nutcracker. Even if you know nothing about the ballet you should enjoy it. My husband and I went as a date night, he has never been to a ballet and truly enjoyed it, the choreography was superb, the dance alive.

See my blog entry talking about our attendance of the 2PM showing of The Phantom of the Opera. Great production!

My husband and I were able to attend the 2pm performance and it was absolutely delightful! Our daughter had danced as a student with Ballet Internationale years ago and we remembered Ogulcan from those days. He is a fabulous dancer and it was really nice to see him dance again. Tuesday Mayhew was just gorgeous and graceful beyond belief and Sergey, wow a strong and stunning performance.

Thank you again for the tickets, we enjoyed it so much and now that we have been reintroduced to the ballet, we will back to see the next show!

We went Last Night! It amazes me that we have cultural opportunities like this one right in downtown Indy.

The production went smoothly in my estimation (I did not notice any glitches, hang-ups, or weirdness). There was one instance where a pair of shoes was extracted from the stage by a stage-hand, but this was subtle. (black glove, black arm, black shirt, etc. Only because it was in front of a mirror did we catch it).

Very well executed as far as the dances and alignment with story. It was very easy to follow how the story was playing out (I didn't notice they provide you with the story line in the program until intermission. I'm rather a novice at ballet. Oh, the opening remarks in the program, describing IBC, are amazing and inspiring. Very nice, Alyona Yakovleva!)

Dancing was near flawless, but so engrossing that I frequently forgot to applaud.(sorry about that).

I really enjoyed it, and plan on taking the girls to see the Nutcracker in December.

Thank you Elizabeth, I'm be telling my friends for weeks!
