We have exciting news! Governor Mitch Daniels has agreed to be our keynote speaker this year for our August 24th, 2010 Healthiest Employers of Indiana Awards Conference.

The Kiwanis Club of Indianapolis is hosting the 2nd annual Kiwanis Kids Triathlon on Sunday, June 20th, 2010.

The Kiwanis Kids Triathlon is a fund raising event for the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis, supporting the Fostering Families Committee many projects and programs supporting foster children, young adults aged-out of foster care, and foster parents.

This triathlon is a fun event with course layout and distances designed to encourage and introduce first-time triathletes to the sport. Experienced triathletes and many volunteers will line the course to provide support and assistance to kids on the course.

A Family Division will allow either three man relay teams or family groups up to four members compete. Relays will be competitive and family groups non-competitive.

I teach Hands On Greek Cooking Classes and now have started a meal delivery service for those who have dietary restrictions like Celiac or Diabetics and for those who just don't have time to make a healthy homecooked meal. I take a list of ingredients that can be eaten, can't be eaten and would not like to be eaten and develop individual recipes. I then prepare a weeks worth of meals for them which includes appetizer/soup, main dish with side and dessert and I then deliver their order to their homes once a week on designated day. I prefer lists that have been given to them from their doctors to help with the recipe development and to make sure they get the nutrients that they need. I try to use only Organic and Fresh ingredients to prepare Gluten/Wheat Free, Dairy Free, Vegan/Vegetarian meals.
