Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

The time has finally come when transit allies have a place to turn to get involved in advocating for more and better transit in Indiana. All of you need to go to this website, click on "Join Now" and register your support for transit in Indiana RIGHT NOW!

I've been working with a group of organizations and individuals (Health by Design and the Hoosier Environmental Council to name a few) over the last year to organize a grassroots advocacy organization dedicated to advancing transit options in Indiana. The Indiana Citizens' Alliance for Transit (ICAT) "advocates the immediate development and ongoing support of comprehensive transit options in communities across Indiana".

If we really want to make this happen, we've got to get organized and get active! ICAT seeks to do this, but we need you! Despite some modest success in the General Assembly this year, we still hear from legislators all the time that transit isn't an issue for them because they never hear about it from their constituents. That's why this organization exists - so citizens, taxpayers, transit riders can have their voices heard on the issue.

Visit www.indianacat.org today and sign-up. This is about quality of life for everyone in our community. Let me know if you have questions!
