I know we all have prayer requests and maybe are reluctant to share them with the group. So I will share something that has been on my heart, a prayer request that we all not only find the right path for our lives, but that we use our skills and talents to work in the right ways to build the kingdom. And that we have energy, health, motivation, faith and direction to support those endeavors.

I read a verse today that may help give us faith that we can succeed: "Blessed is the man whose delight is in the law of the Lord, the man shall be like a tree planted near the rivers of water, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper..." (Psalm 1).

Lori - Thank you so much for sharing directly from the heart and for reminding us of God's promises in our lives. I agree in prayer with you in the name of Jesus! AMEN!

Lori,

That verse reminds me of the conversations I've been having the last several days with members of our organization and team. The "law" of the Lord is most often the Purpose He has for our lives. When we take delight in His "law", we shall SUCCEED. When we want to wander off on our own or get off the path He has laid for us is when we find ourselves in the "brambles". I join you in my heart in prayer that we all shall succeed this year in what He has laid before us!

Theresia & fellow "Jesus Freaks". I'd like you to pray, in general, for the goals our CONNECTION STATION & AWI women have set for themselves this year! We're adopting the '09 motto of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Start Using Confidence, Commitment & Enthusiasm to Sow Success (not a great anacronym - sorry too lazy to do spell check - but one we think says it all). We all want to SUCCEED or at least we say we do. . . .so if we pray for each other's goals - then it's bound to happen.

Thanks much Theresia & all!

Much love,
Linda

Thanks, Linda, for sharing your prayer request! I like your acronym. At least you're capable of making up one! I have no such luck when it comes to stuff like that!

My ex-Mother-in-law, Linda Clodfelter is currently in St. Vincents ICU. She has somewhat of a rare blood infection that is taking it's toll on her and may not make it. The next 48 hours are critical and every prayer counts.

Thanks for sharing, Jeff. She is lifted up in prayer as I type. Please keep us posted!
