Making people and ideas findable

While doing some research I stumbled upon an interesting speech given by John C. Bogle, Founder and former CEO of The Vanguard Group about Choosing the Right Path, which explains why America has failed in its financial institutions, in what Americans are striving for, and the failures of our capitalistic society. He elequently describes the righteous path to which we need to return. While the speech was given in 2003 (before the Congregation of The United Methodist Church at Swarthmore Swarthmore, PA), I think it is probably more relevant today than it was then.

If you are like me, you've been disgusted by recent behavior by selfish individuals and corporations. Of course we all have our selfish tendencies, and we need to guard against falling into all kinds of wrongdoing. How are you being salt and light on the earth, a beacon of hope for those without hope?

Read his (relatively short) speech at http://www.vanguard.com/bogle_site/sp20030601.html.
Do you agree with his conclusions for how America can return to greatness, through a call to virtue? Are you surprised to hear it from someone within the financial industry?
