Virtual Assistant:

Hi folks, I have been a paralegal for over 30 years and am looking to start up a virtual assistant endeavor to take care of an elderly parent. My office areas has all the necessary requirements for any admin/clerical/assistant needs and if you know of anyone who cannot afford an "in-house" assistant, please let me know.

Thanks,

Karen Brown

Hi everyone,

I started my business as part-time from home, while I was teaching at IU. I kept it going while I started working for the Neighborhood Self-Employment Initiative, doing their marketing work, and now that my business has grown, I've taken it full-time. NSI has since changed its name to Business Ownership Initiative of Indiana, and they offer free business counseling and free or inexpensive workshops for entrepreneurs like yourself. They even offer free life coaching, if there's some personal blockages that keep people from being successful entrepreneurs.

You can check them out online at www.businessownership.org or call 917-3266 ext. 100 to make an appointment with a counselor.

My husband is currently in law school and is doing a legal internship there this summer, helping clients with things like filing as legal/tax entities, offering help with writing contracts, things like that.
