- Purdue University is marking Green Week with several events from September 15 to 19. Guest lectures are being organized by the Energy Center, Center for the Environment and the Purdue Climate Change Center. A town hall forum is also planned for September 19. Speakers include John Wall, who is a top executive at Cummins Inc. He is an expert in engine technology and the effects of diesel fuel on exhaust emissions. I'm on the College of Liberal Arts Dean's Advisory Council and I wanted to let you know that Purdue is launching BoilerSpere, which will allow faculty, staff and students to get together on a platform similar to Smaller Indiana.
