Making people and ideas findable

On the way into work this morning, I heard that Nancy Pelosi has written a letter President Bush urging him to begin a governmental investigation into oil speculators. Just a short while ago, the Dems were suing OPEC. Then I heard on the radio that the Dems are dragging some former Bush admin folks in to a hearing to answer questions regarding Gitmo and the way someone had treated some of individuals there. Then there's the don't-mess-with-the-polar-bears stories.

Let's see: we've got a very real energy situation happening right now that Congress could begin to take action on (drill here/drill now plus alternative forms of energy). Our elected officials could make some serious head way by lifting the ban on offshore drilling as well as open up ANWR. We're sitting on our answer to this oil crisis. We must at the same time encourage businesses to offer affordable alternatives. Our future is based both on oil supply as well as eco-friendly energy resources.

But the Congress (led by the Dems remember) is doing nothing to answer these questions. They are playing a deplorable game of politics which continues to demonstrate that they have no clue what the citizens of the US are facing day to day.

Contact your Congressmen/women and tell them to drill here and drill now. To get an encouraging word, check out www.americansolutions.com. Get the word out. There can be a brigher tomorrow. But unlike Obama, this future is based on real solutions for real people, not on flowery rhetoric.

Now excuse me, I have to pick up my gun and my Bible. It's clingin' time...
