Just wanted to share a blog post and picture from our spontainous trip to Colorado after Christmas. An unused house of a friend came to my attention and we hopped in the car and drove all night.

Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought....

Hello everyone,
I just talked to a friend in Wisconsen and they have already gotten 30 inches of snow this season and more should fall this evening.

The first time out west I was in awe.One seems so small in the grand scheme when looking up at the mountains and the sky is so blue...pictures just don't due it justice. I haven't ski Garnite yet but we are planning a road trip this season.

that looks awesome... I'm sharing with my husband. He loves Alta and Solitude. Hiking there in the spring is actually great too.

I absolutely love skiing out west. Up until 2007 I had only skied in Colorado but Utah was so much fun...Alta all the way!!! I can't get west this year to ski however I found a cool place in Wisconsen called Granite Peak...700 foot vertical and 74 runs so check it out if the budget doesn't allow a westerm treck.

This is the first year I won't be skiing over the holidays in about five years. Utah is the best place in the states to ski (my opinion). I'm not any black diamond skiier, though!
