Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

This has been a great group for sourcing new restaurants...esp. local vs. chains...although I always have to remember that chains are still usually managed and staffed with local people so it's still good for the community and many of them are honestly trying to source more locally.

At any rate, we at Compendium Blogware have a blog series focused only on Indianapolis area restaruants. http://indyrestaurant.compendiumsoftware.com/blog/indianapolis-rest...

it's a series of 50 Compended Blogs and we set them up to showcase our software and for demo purposes. The funny thing is that it actually drives a lot of traffic. Often we get thank you emails and gift cards from the restaurants featured.

Anyway, in looking at this group on Smaller Indiana, I was wondering if I could do a little crowdsourcing. We would sincerely appreciate any submissions from anyone who would like to send us reviews of restaurants they have tried. We will post them on our blog series and give you full attribution in the post. Pictures & Video are always welcome too.

The best way to submit is directly to me through email. Chris@compendiumblogware.com

It seems like a great way to help both a local software startup and the restaurants themselves...and who knows might get you a free meal once in a while.

One final thought...this is a search strategy, so frequency matters. Just because someone has talked about a restaurant before doesn't mean that we can't talk about it again. Even if you talked about your favorite place yesterday, if you had something new to say today....that's a good thing :-)

Again, Chirs@compendiumblogware.com

I have to mention my favorite downtown pub/club, Ike & Jonesy's.

With weekday home-cooked lunch specials, great beer specials Monday through Thursday (especially Thursday-25 cent Bud Light), and the extremely diverse age range, Ike's get's my vote for best bar/pub in Indy.

For pizza; Bazbeaux on Mass Ave. is phenomenal for gourmet pizza. I never would have thought to put some of the toppings on a pizza that they do, and it comes out fantabulous every time!
