Making people and ideas findable

I'm always looking for locally owned coffee shops around Indianapolis. What are your favorites?

By work I have azy Daze. Good Coffee, Great People. it was a blessing to find this jem was on my way to work

By home and what I truly love is Monon Coffee. They have great coffee, great people, a great mix of non-coffee options and a very good mix of goodies.

I enjoy Lazy Days in Irvington, Bean Cup and Strange Brew in Greenwood, and of course I "live" at Bjava on the west side!

Do check out Eric's indycoffee.com.

Thank you! I'll check them out!

I agree...Strange Brew in Greenwood is delicious and the owners are really nice too. If you ever find yourself in Bloomington be sure to check out Soma. Not only is the coffee amazing, but the juices are all fresh squeezed and made to order.

Big fan of Lazy Daze in Irvington, Bean Cup in Greenwood, Hubbard & Cravens and Perk Up in Broad Ripple, and of course, BJ Davis' Bjava. I always schedule my meetings at those places.

Lazy Daze is by far my favorite (although, I worked there for a year, so I'm a bit biased). Try the Dirty Hippie (Chai tea and espresso latte, hot or cold, with whip cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg)- it's the best in town (I tried one at Starbucks, and it wasn't nearly as good). Also, the baristas make their own specialty drinks that are equally good. I used to make a white chocolate/dark chocolate (a.k.a Zebra) Peppermint latte that was awesome. In the summer there are also really good fruit and red tea smoothies.

I also remember Katy made some of the best cocomochanut lattes. We miss you there, Kate.

I need to amend my last comment a bit. It was KATE that I was referring to, not Katy. Sorry about that. Kate made some of the best cocomochanut lattes.

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:

1. We want to know your real name...Please use your real name (first and last) when registrering, or we cannot open your account

2. We want to know the real you...Please do NOT use your Smaller Indiana blog for blatant self promotion

3. We want to see your smiling face...Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

4. Events should be posted in the events calendar, not inside blog posts

5. Please do NOT post commercial video (demo reels), or Corporate Website promotions in your blog

6. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.
