New Vendors Participating in 2008

Backyard Birds: Backyard Birds will serve you and your birds well. They will be providing edible products for wild birds, squirrels and other mammals.

Balanced Harvest: Balanced Harvest will be providing their outstanding heirloom produce. They believe in growing for you the same varieties that they grow in their own kitchen garden.

Bridgeton Mill: From the small town of Bridgeton, Indiana, The Bridgeton Mill is the oldest continually operating mill in Indiana. The Mill will provide whole grain cornmeal, whole grain flours, and whole grains mixes.

Changing Seasons: Our first of two new vendors from Roanoke, Indiana. Changing Seasons will brighten the market with annual plants, hanging baskets, and planters. Just in time for Mothers Day.

Country Mouse City Mouse: The ladies of Country Mouse City Mouse will be providing made from scratch sauces, salsas, spreads, and salad dressings. They use local fresh produce as well as local cheese, eggs, and dairy products.

Daina's Petite Pies: Daina's Petite Pies are approximately 8 ounces and full of all-natural local Indiana ingredients. Every little pie is lovingly made by hand and baked to perfection then flash frozen.

Izzy & Grey's Gourmet Baby Foods: Chef Neal Brown from L'explorateur, one of the market's biggest supporters, is launching an all-organic, gourmet baby food line. If the baby food is anything like the dishes he serves in his restaurant, they are sure to please your little one.

Joseph Decuis: The second vendor from Roanoke, Indiana, Joseph Decuis restaurant was founded in 1996 and quickly earned a distinctive reputation for superb gourmet dining. Joseph Decuis will be bringing quiche, gumbo, soups and pasta sauce.

Skillington Farms: A family owned farm serving Indianapolis and the surrounding communities. They practice holistic and environmentally sound management to produce all natural beef, poultry and pork. At our market they will be selling their delicious poultry and fresh eggs. Skillington does not use hormones, antibiotics, growth stimulants or animal by-products in their feed, and their animals are raised on lush green pasture.

First Harvest Dinner of the 2008

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:

1. We want to know your real name...Please use your real name (first and last) when registrering, or we cannot open your account

2. We want to know the real you...Please do NOT use your Smaller Indiana blog for blatant self promotion

3. We want to see your smiling face...Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

4. Events should be posted in the events calendar, not inside blog posts

5. Please do NOT post commercial video (demo reels), or Corporate Website promotions in your blog

6. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.
