Group Collaboration - Food Wanted for SI Creative Commerce: Art & Design Group Show

Calling all foodies, especially the locally grown variety: A group right here on dear old SI (Creative Commerce: Art & Design Group) is in the planning stages of an art show to be held August 1, to coincide with IDADA First Friday. We are looking for food, especially the tasty locally grown/organic type that might be served up at a great art show. The show will take place in Wug Laku's Studio & Garage. A call for artists and vendors will be going out soon - by the end of May. Sponsors are being sought, as well. In the meantime, if anyone can provide some direction, ideas, hints, or blatant self promotion on what the food piece of this might look like, I am all ears. For anyone really or mildly interested, the next planning meeting is to be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14 in Wug's Studio.

Nancy,
I talked to Wug a month or so ago about helping with this very kind of thing! I own Country Mouse City Mouse and Ravenous Catering. I would LOVE to be a part of this!
check out our website and let me know if you would be interested in having me bring some samples to the meeting on Wednesday.
Thanks!
Erin

Erin, Welcome! I checked out your website, and my mouth is watering. Your food philosophy and your offerings are exactly what we are looking for! PLEASE come to the meeting on Wednesday with some of your bites. It would be welcome, and appreciated. I promise to bring a bottle of red to go with your good eats. Click on the link up above for directions to Wug Laku's Studio & Garage. Meetings at 7:00 PM. I look forward to seeing you then!

At very least I will bring by some food for you guys to try during your meeting. My son had tubes put into his ears today, so things are a bit up in the air. I'm planing to bring Romesco, Trilby, the Rhubarb Ginger Chutney over goat cheese and Wild Mushroom Pate (all of course with garlic crostini). I would be so honored to be a part of this project!

I hope your son bounces back very soon.

We are all very much looking forward to seeing you tonight. Feel free to say as long as you like or are able to. Looking forward to the tasty treats as well. Everyone is excited to get to sample your wares!

Erin, I posted a "thanks" from the Creative Commerce group on your page. Wanted to take a moment here, as well, to thank you for the fabulous treats you brought to the meeting last night. The group is definitley smitten. We started and finished the evening with the food you brought, all of it wonderful and beautifully presented. You will make a perfect addition to the Elegant Funk show in August, and we all hope it turns into sales for your business as well. The whole synergy thing....Thanks again!

For anyone else still interested in providing food, the more the merrier. There is room enough for more to compliment Erin's Country Mouse City Mouse / Ravenous Catering.

I am interested, but just saw this! I just started my own company called: Holy Cow, Cupcakes! I make all my cupcakes with either ingredients from Indiana or organic, or both! I would love to participate!

Welcome welcome! We would love to have someting sweet to offer. Indiana grown and/or organic fit with the goals of the Elegant Funk group. Next group meeting is next Wednesday at 7PM at Wug Laku's Studio and Garage downtown. Please feel welcome to attend (cupcakes, too!). You can see the space and discuss setup and the show in general. In the meantime, please e-mail me here and we can get a conversation going about this and answer any questions you might have. Thanks so much for your interest!

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:

1. We want to know your real name...Please use your real name (first and last) when registrering, or we cannot open your account

2. We want to know the real you...Please do NOT use your Smaller Indiana blog for blatant self promotion

3. We want to see your smiling face...Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

4. Events should be posted in the events calendar, not inside blog posts

5. Please do NOT post commercial video (demo reels), or Corporate Website promotions in your blog

6. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.
