I searched for her on Smaller Indiana and then went to her profile and blocked her. We'll see if it works, but so far, it seems to have stopped the flow of emails.

I keep getting spam email from: A message from Jenifer Hagge to all members of Social Media Lunch Club on Smaller Indiana! About this phone rocks?  Is there a way to stop her from sending these spam emails out?

Thanks

You can use it with HTML as well. Didnt know if it was easier for you to do HTML than FBML or not. Now if you have a landing page on FB that matches a campaing etc then Im cool with it but not a general everyone gets pushed to a landing page. Just my opinion & of course everyone will answer they go to FB for coupons when it comes up on a survey but can you build better brand recognition from showing your engagement with customers or that you have a coupon? Im biased as its my job but I say always err on the side of engagement. It makes you stand apart, anyone can do coupons.
Comment by Jennifer Swineford on April 26, 2010 at 3:05pm
Studies I've read show that FB users visit business pages to get coupons, specials, etc. Most of the "best" pages (as determined by someone other than me) create landing pages on FB with advertising of some kind. I don't know if it's the "best" way to do it, but it's what the "experts" recommend.

On another note, I could be wrong, but I think Tabsite is a WYSIWYG app for people who can't write the code. But thanks for the info just the same and your opinions, I'll keep both in mind.

Im not sure if you can create separate tabs like you did for GCI on Tabsite but its worth looking into. If I was consulting GCI on social efforts I would never have a landing page with specials, thats for a website. I want to interact with brands and businesses on FB not have them treat FB like another website, but thats just me. Think if every time you clicked on the GCI Twitter home page you were sent to a landing page. Wouldnt it drive you nuts? I want to see how they interact before I like them. Again just me.

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:
1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

4. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. "Blatant self-promotion" is discouraged on SI, and "spam" is not welcome. Please be considerate of your fellow members.

7. Display ads (graphic banners designed to promote your business) can only live on your own profile page, unless you are an approved sponsor of Sponsor of Smaller Indiana.

Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
