Making people and ideas findable

There are so many different blogs out there, all with different purposes. (professional, personal, educational, etc.) I'm curious what everyone else is doing.

Since my blog is a part of my personal portfolio site, I blog mostly about design. Sometimes it's about things that inspire me as an artist, sometimes it's a good design article, and other times I just acknowledge beautiful design.

What do you blog about?

Although it makes updating, more than four times as hard, I have four blogs that I write for (although not so regularly). For me it's about helping others with information that I have recently learned. Similar to donated to PayPal for an open source developer. Everyone talks about niche and for the most part it's true. The people looking for how to do parallax scrolling in Flash do not want to look at photos of my family.

I think it's good to list your other blogs at the bottom of your site, where if people really love you, then they will find them.
I blog about topics that move me. Like Stephen, I run multiple blogs; one for my company (www.slaughterdevelopment.com) and one for personal essays (www.turningleftagainsttraffic.com - which is down for maintenance so don't click!)

I think one of the most difficult aspect of blogging is to find a voice with which you are comfortable and can maintain consistently.

I'm looking forward to reading your blog. Best of luck!
I write about everyday life and the common people that do uncommon things. Not sure what you would call "my style," but I am heavily influenced by my three favorite authors, Charles Kuralt, Mark Twain, and James Herriot. It is, at this moment, a creative outlet for me but hope to develop it into something more.

Where is your blog? I'd like to read it. Mine is www.scottemmet.wordpress.com.

Regards,
Scott
