Why join Smaller Indiana? What are you hoping to experience here ?
I'm here to find others who, like me, have a hatred for Comic Sans that radiates from the inner depths of their soul, find such simple joys in creating visual ideas that work, and can turn me on to graphic design ventures and opportunities in Indianapolis.

Chocolate and Creative Spark!

The Creative Spark bar is a self-promotion tool I created to stand out from the slew of resumes that creative directors receive. I wrapped this around a king-sized chocolate bar and mailed it to various ad agencies and design firms in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Washington, D.C. The response was great, but all who responded said they simply just weren't hiring.

Design Feedback -- Cavalier Rodworks Business Cards

I recently designed some business cards for Cavalier Rodworks, a custom fishing rod company near New Orleans and a client of mine. I wanted to get feedback from fellow Smoosiers. Which designs do you like best and why? (See photo below.)

Good Morning, I just read your profile and thought as a small business professional you might be interested in our local business network (IBN). Indiana Business Network has chapters all over the state. Locally we meet in Plainfield every Wednesday morning at 10am. There is no cost or obligation to check it out and the monthly dues are only $25.00. I joined recently and it is by fare the least expensive means of lead generation that I've found. I'd be happy to answer any questions if you are interested. P.S. I utilized Comic Sans in virtually all my marketing materials and grew the business to 5M. Bummr and I thought I was doing something right!

Hi Alessandra - I too am a Butler grad and despise comic sans... Are you doing any freelance right now? If so, drop me a line on what you like to do and your freelance rates, please: raquel@silversquareinc.com

Alessandra, I just read the comment you left over a month ago. Sorry! I obviously don't check this too often. :) We are not currently hiring, but always looking for good freelancers to help us out. Do you do that? I'll check out your website for more info, but feel free to email me at kristen@discoverelementthree.com. Thanks!

Thats great! What types of brands do you work with?

Are you looking to start your own business or continue to grow with that one?

Well, thank you! The site has really started to take off. It just exited beta and now has more than 10,000 student members contributing over 30,000 documents.

I'm not however the actual founder, although I was one of the first hired to begin work on the site during it first month of operation.

I see you work for yourself? What exactly do you do?
