What does SEO have to do with big business in Indianapolis?

Swiss company with Indianapolis operations considers pullout

The Indianapolis operation of Roche Diagnostics Corp has likely seen healthier times. Despite unfettered growth internationally, where Roche has outpaced its competitors, its American operations have been troubled by diminished market share in diabetes related products.

The 7 unusual or surprising bits about me -

So I've been tagged by two people now, and though the temptation to ignore was rising...

Cheers to Becky Pruitt and Deanna Sipe -

1) I have never worked a full-time, 9-5 as an employee, and don't ever plan to.

2) I'm a sci-fi fanatic. Herbert and Heinlein are my favorites.

3) I speak semi-fluent German and lived in Heidelberg for a summer. Every day for two months I rode my bicycle across the bridge that overlooked this scene:

The 2.0 Knee Jerk

In everyday life (that is conversation not preceded by a discussion of Internet this, or web design that, brand this, domain that) I have recently noticed a tendency for business types to designate a number scheme when indicating the evolution of an idea or concept. That number does not range higher or lower from:

2.0

I feel thus obliged to answer the question:

“What is Web 2.0?”

The pervasive nature of said web is such that all types have answered it with varying degrees of accuracy and suc… Continue

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:
1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

4. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. "Blatant self-promotion" is discouraged on SI, and "spam" is not welcome. Please be considerate of your fellow members.

Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
