I would urge caution before reacting to the video clip. I happen to have some knowledge of that field. As an animal scientist, I have visited quite a few chicken slaughterhouses around the world, and I can see, better than some who might lack that b…

Bernard,
Thanks for the response! I'll look forward to seeing you at the event (whenever it may be). And feel free to stop by the office when you're in the neighborhood. I'd love to visit.

Hey Bernard,
I really enjoyed your thoughts at the Business Book Club meeting, and your story about DARPA. I learned a great deal.

You may already know about the National Science Foundation's involvement with DARPA-NET. The NSF added a "grassroots flavor" to the beginnings of the Internet--a truly innovative and very disruptive idea.

I look forward to the next BBC meeting, and learning more about your work.

Bernard,
It was great to meet you at book club today! I can't say I'm as purposefully disruptive as you are (although if you ask my wife...), so it's really nice to have a model to live up to! Hope to see you again soon.

The Great Indy Wine Fest: An affair to remember!

A week ago last Friday, the gourmands and bon-vivants of Central Indiana had a chance to quite literally put their glass where their mouth is, and enjoy some good old-fashioned fun around a bottle, or hundreds of bottles as it were. Once upon a time, such tastings might have been long on cheap bottles. This time though, there was no such fr… Continue
