Do you suppose it's ignorance or apathy that's driving this decline in communications? I know I overanalyze my writing, so I simply cannot relate to someone who doesn't even care enough to do a spell check.

Indy Arts Fans Ready to Grab Spotlight

I’m an arts fan and a sports fan, which means I’m living proof that the two are not mutually exclusive. And while I’ve chosen to contribute more of my time and money to the Indy arts scene, I certainly don’t begrudge the pro teams that anchor our world-class city (even though I cringe at the red-carpet treatment they receive). It’s all about the experience I’m seeking. And the experiences I have when I’m perusing works at a gallery, listening to the symphony or cheering in the stands at a game a… Continue

I've Been Woefully Wimpy About Caring for the Environment

Nothing dies harder than a bad habit. But at least I was willing to take my first step toward recovery by attending the Spirit & Place discussion titled Imagining Creation: Exploring the Spiritual Mandate for Creation Care.

Armed with a bottled water (strike one), I sat near the stage so I could hear each panelist pontificate about whether or not we have a moral obligation to care for the environment. Do we? I couldn’t wait to find out what they thought.

Although I’ve never hugged a tree a… Continue

Is Voting in the Primary Worth the Price of Declaring a Political Party?

I just left the polls and am proudly wearing my “I Voted” sticker. But even though I did my civic duty, I have this sinking feeling that someone, somewhere, could misuse my now-public record. I'll also have to prepare myself for the onslaught of political mail. (Sigh) Being forced to declare a political party stinks, because I’m not a straight ticket voter.

In fact, this is the first time I remember voting in a primary election, because I wasn’t willing to declare an affiliation in other electi… Continue

Thanks, Erin! I'm not that great of a writer, but I am trying :)

I didn't make it to the Anthaneum sale, but I am glad to hear it was kind of picked over, or else I might have been jealous!

Hello, I am new to Smaller Indiana and thought I would reach out to connect and say hello. My name is Brandon and I am the Director for Musical Medicine. We build music libraries for hospitals.

Are you planning on attending the Chocolate Blues and Business Networking Festival next Thursday? I hear it's going to be huge, they expect about 1,500 people to attend. It should be a great networking day! I have free tickets, if you need a ticket, let me know and I'll email you one. If you want more details about it, it's listed under events on the 26th.

Have a good day and I look forward to networking with you. Please let me know if I can ever do anything for you,
Brandon
