"Thanks for bringing this to our attention Keith...this deserves further inquiry and my gut tells me that there is no jury other than just one person. This is very disappointing!"

Duke Snyder commented on Keith J. Hampton's blog post "Indiana Artisans"
"Another well-thought-out blog deserving attention of us all. My journalistic blood boils when seeing such examples as this one. What is the real "story behind the story?" If a basic premise in America is judged by our peers all of whom we…"

Shari Boultbee commented on Keith J. Hampton's blog post "Indiana Artisans"
"I agree with you. How do you know if the jurors are qualified to even be judging. Anyone can say they like or dislike a piece but can they say why and back it up with some art knowledge. Sounds like there is something they don't want us to know."

"Indiana Artisans"

Normally, I sit in the background and do my thing, create what I like, don't stir up trouble. But there's been this gnat buzzing around my head called "Indiana Artisan" and it just keeps bugging me.Let me state this up front: Indiana Artisan designation is a program that is well-intentioned and most probably helps those who participate. Professionalism - Is It Completely Dead in Central Indiana?

To be honest, I hesitate to post this as some might see it as a rant, but it's actually a way to inform and perhaps discuss the subject and get some other viewpoints from other professionals working in the Indy area.

In the last few months, I've had the occasion to meet with potential clients and also bid on several jobs. Most of these have thankfully come through for me and that's great. But... I've also had the misfortune to meet with a few potential clients and bid on jobs where I… Continue

Hi Keith,

I am well. Hope the same for you. I've been on Smaller Indiana for a month or two. Not sure what it's about yet and haven't really had time to explore much. Just happened to see you in one of the groups I joined. Mazaltov! Here's hoping for a big snow---starting in earnest after I get home from a meeting I'm off to. Take care.
