If a person is in cardiac arrest, aren't the chest compressions really the only necessary thing to do? The goal is to get blood flow to the heart, right? I don't see how breathing into someone's mouth helps get blood to the heart. Color me ignoran...

Hands-Only CPR?--Is it the same as tradtional CPR?

There have been several media stories recently regarding "Hands-Only" CPR. The AHA has recoginzed the years of research related to Bystanders performing "Chest Compressions Only" for Adult Victims of a Witnessed Collapse. This has not been very well explained in the media.
