(I think its pretty awesome you found SI through one of my posts on here)
I have done quite a bit with Papervision 3D. I have a Kiosk running right now in an Architecture exhibit at the IMA the runs on Papervision 3D. It was a pretty cool project.
I have started an SI Flash users group, I was thinking about doing it before, but wasn't sure there was a demand for it.
Anyhow, it's here: http://smallerindiana.com/group/flashusersgroup
Something I'd like to accomlish with the group is...
1) Increase Flash Usage in Indiana
2) Provide a good, local, place to find flash help
3) Integrate with the official Indiana Flash Users Group in Bloomington. I haven't spoken with any of them and I don't know for sure if it's even still going.
4) Setup Flash workshops and classes for Indy residents to come to and learn all about flash, techniques, standards. Ideally these would be free workshops that I host at first where I teach everything from basic interface work, to timeline animation, to advanced AS3 programming and Papervision 3D.
Anyhow, it'd be cool to get that up and going and get involved in bettering the community in this way.
Thank you, well I'll have to keep that in mind about making a group.
How I got here would be a good place to start. I was looking for more info on papervision 3d and there is a post by Dustin Sparks, and I thought it may be fun to see what people talk about on here, and maybe have some fun.
I was planning on starting a small flash, and 3DMax user group in Indianapolis. We will see if I can get that off the ground, but no matter what I'm sure I'll have fun here.
