I thought the show was very well-executed, which it has to be to make something so familiar worth your ticket. A couple of things that I really liked about this production: 1) Having the Narrator tastfully dressed (B&B did this in their previous J...

The Blind Side is a "must-see" for Thanksgiving weekend

I think it’s safe to predict that The Blind Side will earn Sandra Bullock an Academy Award nomination. Not that she alone makes the movie, because it is perfectly cast and excellently written and directed. Based on Michael Lewis’ 2006 book, The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game, the movie is the true story of Michael Oher (played by newcomer Quinton Aaron), the Baltimore Ravens rookie tackle who came from the Memphis projects. Homeless, uneducated, and dismissed by most as a lost cau… Continue

Be Swept off your Feet with Seven Brides for Seven Brothers!

Like the brides in the title, I was swept off my feet last Saturday night when I attended the Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. You may be acquainted with the 1954 movie musical starring the late Howard Keel and Jane Powell, which won an Oscar for Best Musical and was nominated for other Oscars, including Best Picture.

I vaguely remember watching the musical on TV when I was a girl, but I really didn’t recall the details of the story or any o… Continue

Can Christian Fiction enjoy widespread success in today's culture?

I just read another enjoyable book:

From the Back Cover
“I believed everything my daddy told me until I walked into Walmart and saw my picture on a poster. . . .”

For as long as she can remember, June Bug and her father have traveled the back roads of the country in their beat-up RV, spending many n

The Pretend Wife by Bridget Asher is a fun read!

I enjoyed this book's quirky characters. The book is light reading with substance. I would love to see this story made into a movie!

Hi Marica,
Thanks for the invite. I too am pretty new to Smaller Indiana. I love the idea of networking with other Hoosiers! Glad you like the Porkburgers. I live at the house in front of the plant, so I'm sure you go by often. Stop in sometime and say hello! My office is actually at the Clinton County Fairgrounds, so that is where I spend most of my time. We have been so busy this summer, I am hoping I will have more time this winter to make more friends on this site. Talk to you soon. Cindy

Welcome to Smaller Indiana. I think you will find this is a little different then most Social Networks. The community is active both on and off line. Check out some of our groups and events for information on what is going on around the state.

Thanks for adding a photo to your profile. We love to see the people we are talking with!

A few tips as you get started:

We love interesting conversations in the main blog, so please use that section, for questions, thought provoking ideas and interesting observations. The forums work best for business promotions, job hunting, employee finding, and event promotion. You can also list events in our calendar section.

Make friends, reach out to people you know, and introduce yourself to people you don’t! I look forward to reading your posts, and perhaps meeting you at one of our many events around town!

Lorraine
