I'm the communications coordinator at the Center for Aging & Community. It's been an ideal entre back into the workforce. I started back about 2.5 years ago at 20 hours/week. Now I'm up to 3/4 time. Our office is in Fountain Square, so that makes the drive from SW Carmel a little more palatable.

I'm not sure I have the appropriate permission to send you message via smallerindiana, so I'm just going to post my response on your wall regarding your company Website:

1) Top right corner replace text with: Helping High School & College students land Internships!

2) Remove the link “More about Indiana INTERNnet.” Rationale: It links to the same page that’s linked to by “About Us.” Such linking is superfluous.

3) Remove everything from “Sign up today for an…” to “, Program Coordinator”

4) When Educators image is moused-over, add below the pop up description: INTERNnet Online Tutorial Sign-Up. “Sign-up” would be a link to a page containing the links to the dates for registration for High School and College/University educators (along with a link to Amber’s contact information).

5) When the Employers image is moused-over, add below the pop up description: INTERNnet Online Tutorial Sign-Up. “Sign-up” would be a link to the dates for the employers (along with a link to Amber’s contact information).

This should make the homepage very simple, clean, and unintimidating.

I just saw that I was assigned to your site. I just got back to West Lafayette a few hours ago, so I will work on reworking the URL...

Hello Pam,

I was pleased to discover you again. I've previously read of your work to reverse the Indiana brain drain. That is no small task. At least the worlds of education, government and business have joined forces and there are now more options for students with strengths in science and math. Years ago a handful of us testified every year at the Statehouse for more opportunities for academic depth within the school curriculum. We spoke of the brain drain then to deaf ears. Changed economic factors and the state's desire to retain business brought some of those issues into focus. Keep up the good work.

The majority of our scholarships came from individuals, I'm sure if you work with the office you will be able to find the scholarships you need. We did pre-law and I had one for business.
