I would guess that yard signs are supposed to sway undecided voters. If I like my neighbor, then the candidate they support must not be too bad. This is especially true where their is a lack of information (either the fault of the voter or the can...

I find that some of my most creative times are times of worship at my church. The energy and joyful, enthusiasm of the time charges my creativity. Art is about as close to faith as many people get, due to the implicit metaphysical meaning. My wife...

I think the biggest surprise to most first-time homeowners is the actual cost of maintenance and upkeep. I strongly suggest putting away $150 a month in a savings account to take care of things as they pop up, especially if it's an older house wit...

Yeah, the shut-off is key--good call there. Also, know where the cut-off for your outside faucets is so you can shut them off before it freezes and purge the water. It isn't always obvious where they are, so ask the previous owner--they can be ch...

Any hose longer than 75 ft is difficult to twist and encircle (If one has a hose holder, I guess it doesn't matter as much. I recommend a 50 ft thick (heavy duty) hose with quick linking attachments (multiple 50 ft if you have a larger lawn) and a...

Sending Red Envelopes on March 31st?

I'm curious if anyone else is sending in Red Envelopes tomorrow on March 31st. My wife and I are. I think this is the first year its been done. I just went to a CVS and bought 2 cards for future birthdays for family members and grabbed a red envelope with it.

Anyway, I heard that the creators were wanting people to do photos and meet in groups at post offices and such, so I just thought I'd ask on SmIN. I believe it's between the hours of 12:00 - 1:00pm on the 31st if you work during the day. I… Continue

If this is not a demographically skewed primary, I don't know what is

I woke up this morning to this map at CNN's website:

Lake, St. Joseph, Elkart, Allen, Tippecanoe, Hamilton, Boone, Hamilton, Marion, and Monroe counties were won by Obama and the rest were won by Clinton. Not much of a surprise.

Also, does anyone have any "OperationContinue

BlogIN conference planning underway

Members of SmIN met in person and by phone on this Saturday morning to establish the foundation for a conference this coming spring. We discussed the focus and outlined a structure for this event. In order to meet the wide diversity of interest and familiarity with blogging (and online social communities), it will be a hybrid conference--with both structure and unstructured platforms. We laugh, we cried, we proposed public relations and marketing starting points.

Those that gathered this mornin… Continue

Here are some of the barriers right now.

*having the public vote on video/written essay's where a member can only vote once. Just want to prevent any pitfalls with an online voting contest
*entries filling out online forms/essay's that will get fowarded to us

Everything else seems very easy to work with as an admin on ning.

Thank you! Tod Esquivel

Thank you for the correction. My main curiosity in advertising right now, is finding a way into the field, while I am still in school. Can you help by pointing me in the right direction? I have plenty of schoolwork to show.

Thanks. No, I took it down. There was no "agenda" behind it really. I wrote it as a mental exercise and my adult children all thought it hilarious. I took it down because I got concerned how it might be taken by some people. I might put it back up sometime.

Good day, James. You seem to be someone who may be able to answer some questions of mine. How long have you been in the advertising profession?
