WHOA!! Where Did My Old Facebook Go??? (The Top 11 Things That Changed)

Did you wake up Wednesday morning to find a new Facebook?  Many were looking at their home feed this morning as most of us do without a cup of coffee or anything.   Did you shudder, did you gasp, did you freak out?  I pictured Jon Stewart screaming NOOOOOOO as he looks up at a camera on the ceiling of the studio!  LOL   Most of you felt like this image describes. …

Going Green With Your Customers - Does doing the right thing by your customer stop when it impacts your profit?

Going Green is a phrase that is everywhere today. You are probably exposed to the phrase 100 times a day if not more. Why because it is the current beacon that shines innovation to the market place. The old marketing message was new and improved. Many small businesses start because they define a new product or market space. Many of these companies are successful because their innovation also brings savings or efficiencies. This is what my company has done. My product defines a new market space… Continue

How do small businesses (less than 30 employees) protect their data?

Hello everyone. I am new to smaller Indiana. So bare with me as I do this my first post. I am interested in learning how/what small business owners do to protect their computer files from things like acts of God (tornado, fire etc) Acts of violence (theft, disgruntled employees, etc) Acts of stupidty (disgruntled employees, failed computer hardware, etc). Knowing that given enough time that all harddrives will fail I am interested in hearing what anyone might find is the best solution out… Continue

Hi Chris,
I just saw your posting that you are looking for a part time person and I wanted to talk to you regarding this. Just by talking to me, would this be something that I would be qualified for? I will send you my resume tomorrow and you can take a look at it. I really would like something that I can do part time and still work my insurance business on the side. I enjoy my insurance job but a positive paycheck would be nice as well and I would be able to interact with people. Hope you had a great weekend and holiday and I will talk to you soon.

My company is looking for a marketing intern / sales assistant. You can learn more about my organization at www.FileEngine.com. Please email me your information at chris.reed@FileEngine.com. We are looking for someone on a part time basis who can answer the phone, use Microsoft office applications, send emails, etc... The candidate should be someone who enjoys interfacing with customers and is interested in learning more about marketing technology solutions to small business owners. Because this is a part time position we will be considering more than one candidate. We look forward to your inquiry.

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

4. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. "Blatant self-promotion" is discouraged on SI, and "spam" is not welcome. Please be considerate of your fellow members.

7. Display ads (graphic banners designed to promote your business) can only live on your own profile page, unless you are an approved sponsor of Sponsor of Smaller Indiana.
