Before You Speak – Get it in Writing!

Picture this:

There you are…taking the stage with authority and confidence, about to deliver the speech you’ve spent months honing. You made the investment in professional coaching, you discovered your authentic voice, and you rehearsed your presentation from one end to the other and back again. You’ve finally arrived at this auspicious day. As you look out on your audience and prepare to utter the first words of your speech, it hits you….you are officially a professional… Continue

How to Raise Some Fast Cash!

In my quest to learn more about reachmore’s business coaching clients, I asked them what their number one roadblock to hitting their 2010 goals was. An overwhelming majority said that raising capital was the thorn in their side.

Well my beloved readership, I pulled out all of the stops for you, and asked Dawn DeRidder, Vice President of SBA Lending at M&I Bank to give us her hottest tips to securing fast cash!

From Dawn’s mouth, through my fingers, to your eyes; here… Continue

Perception vs. Reality

This past week, the president of the United States held his first State of the Union.

Moments after the completion of his address, pundits from both sides of political aisle began providing their feedback.

Here’s what I found to be interesting.

No matter what he said, Democrats thought that the address was perfect and felt inspired by each and every word uttered by the President.

On the other side, Republicans argued that he was full of crap and found… Continue

Operation OpenUP Community Outreach Services serves our community in many ways.

As a community outreach organization, we serve the needy, the disenfranchise and the underprivileged. We are also able to help by not only providing a cellular connection to services needed to get ahead in life, but by providing resource information to aid in that journey. We also fill a void by collecting unused cell phones in our community, thereby initiating a recycling effort and keeping them out of the landfills. We then work with businesses, churches and service organizations to help… Continue

Where has this device been all my life?

Last weekend I spent the night at a Marriott hotel. The room had a beautiful flat panel 32" television which I've actually somewhat come to expect.

But what I didn't expect was this little device sitting next to the television.

This is a dream come true for a techie traveler like myself. Basically, this little doo-hickey allows me to hook u just about any type of gadget I want to the television.

Blu-ray player on your laptop? Hook it up with an HDMI cable to the… Continue

Call 811 Before You Dig and Know the Utility Color Codes

This blog topic was prompted by a call from a friend this morning who was trying to locate his main water line in Meridian Hills. He suspects that he has an underground leak because his water bill has jumped from $40 to $130 in three months with no discernible change in his family’s consumption pattern.

If the leak is under his property or in the meter itself, the repair will be on his dime.

At any rate, before he started digging, we agreed that he should have the line… Continue

PR WILDFIRE!

As a publicist…. one of the toughest parts of my job is creating wildfire for my clients. I’m challenged each day to find information that is compelling so there is no way the heat can fizzle out.

And, it’s never ending…… becuase just as you tell your first story to a member of the media… they are moving right along to the next best thing.

So…. a lesson in publicity pyro-101…

1. Do you have a publicity calendar? This calendar should reflect potential press… Continue

Compounding

http://mondaymorningmotivator.blogspot.com/2010/02/compounding.html

Compounding is the marriage of present and future. We can make our sales, time, and talent compound by using a multiplyer. That multiplyer is our attitude. When we compound with a positive attitude, our desired result is larger. Better results will compound you actions. Thanks for watching... Give it a try.
