Baby-Steps

Yes, I may be a "low-tech" guy but I do realize (at times) when one needs to upgrade. Now I'm certainly not claiming that I have fully entered the 21st century concerning my electronic gadgets... but at least I am taking baby-steps in that direction.
Though my QR code above is not an electronic gadget, it is…

Livin' The Life.

Yep, livin' the life and happy as a clam... though truthfully, I have no idea why clams are supposed to be so happy and are used as an analogy to convey happiness. Nevertheless, I'm glad God put me on the visual arts path long, long ago and has blessed me with a good life in it. Nope... no stereotypical artist's angst here.

Cheers.

Great End to 2011, Great Start to 2012

The wrap-up of 2011 was a fun and exciting time both personally and professionally. My company, EssexArt ABC, LLC, was called upon to provide it's services deep into December for both reflective occasions and humorous art commissions. What makes me happy professionally also makes me happy personally.

Being fortunate enough to be doing what I absolutely love with my company brings me great personal satisfaction. Though I don't often quote him... okay, virtually never... Confucius…

Some Bagpiping testimonials

During this time of year when people tend to reflect on the past, I took some time to look back on some of my bagpiping gigs and the good people I served during them. It was truly an honor to be of service to them, and others, and I look forward to opportunities of service in the coming years.

"Thank you so much for being a special part of our wedding, it was wonderful! You did a fantastic job, really I have…

Signs for Special Occasions

Can you believe that Friday is the last day of April? How quickly time passes. Personally, my family is getting ready to celebrate the college graduation of my stepdaughter. She is graduating with honors (C** Laude) from Loyola University in Chicago. We are all so proud of her. I’m sure every single parent can relate if you have experienced or are currently experiencing this type of celebration. With…

Brides Behaving Badly

As a wedding planner I hear all kinds of crazy stories about Brides behaving badly. Most of them come from fellow vendors who have been forced to experience many of the tantrums and rages themselves.

As I was with my WONDERFUL Bride this weekend, I was listening to her hair stylist talk about the Bride she had done the weekend before. There was a lot of gasping, and stunned silence as the stylist recounted the rude behavior of the Bride. She showed up almost 30 minutes late for her… Continue

This morning Jennifer Carmack from WRTV was at my office to interview me on Cost-friendly Weddings. I am so excited. I hope this will help of my business, well it can hurt. I love to help brides and grooms get the most out of there wedding with what means they have. There are many whys to save money with a wedding or any event. First find out your buget, then sit down and really think of what is importent to you. Is it food, entertanment, decor? Once you have that in mine you can work from… Continue
