First, I'd like to thank Lorraine and Kristen for accommodating my schedule and having the party on a Thursday vs the usual Tuesday. I appreciate it, and I was very happy that I was able to make it. The last party that I was able to make was the 2k. A lot has happened since then!
When I got home, I was trying to remember all of the Tweeple that I met and Tweeted my excitement about finally meeting them. With 140 characters, I just could not fit all of them in the post... :)
So, I hope t… Continue
I wasn't able to attend the 4k member celebration because of Girl Scout duties, but I've been fortunate enough to have been tagged by Brian Huff in this 7 Thing chain...
1. I am a mother of three. Two of my children are fraternal twins.
2. I chose to pursue an entrepreneurial venture rather than staying in my Government job. It's the best thing I could have done for self-development. I've learned more in the last two years than I have the 28 years prior.
3. I sign up for everything.... Well,… Continue
I received my reminder email yesterday about Blog Action Day. If you don't know what it is, and would like to participate, please check out www.blogactionday.org. This year is the 2nd annual event, and this year's topic is poverty. The goal is that if the over 7,500 worldwide bloggers write one post on one day, that for at least one day, we will all take the time to think about what we can all do to stop poverty.
I recently posted an update with a video on :… Continue

Yes, I said Gary, Indiana! :)
You may have read my requests for recommendations of things to do in the Gary and Chicago area on Memorial Day weekend. I was scheduled to be in Gary from Friday evening to Sunday evening for wedding activities. I wasn't particularly looking forward to spending my entire holiday weekend in the city that I hear so many negative things about, but I went... I had so much fun that I ended up staying until Monday evening!
Friday was the wedding rehearsal… Continue
Smaller Indiana has been one of the most useful tools that I have used as a marketing person for a small company. It's free, it's an awesome way to network, you're able to get to know people prior to meeting them, read their posts to see what their views and interests are, and if I'd like to take my online relationship/friendship with them the next step further and meet face to face... I've even gone as far as showing the world my feet! :)
So, since I have enjoyed it soooo much and I see that t… Continue

I have to write about this because I am so frustrated! I don't like to put finance info out in the open, but I have had the worst experiences with Chase Bank.
Until I became a State employee in January of 2006, I had banked with my local Mooresville banks-Citizens and Home. Out of convenience, I switched to Chase because there was a branch in the Gov't South building in which I worked. For the last year, I have been dissatisfied with Chase- from bad customer service, fees that were unauthorized… Continue
What eventful last few days I've had!
My Saturday started began by taking my son to the Children's Museum to experience the new Comic Book exhibit. They have a special section set up in the museum that is attributed to all the favorite comic book heroes. I wouldn't have known about the exhibit had it not been for my friend from Smaller Indiana, Rhett Cochran. Thanks Rhett!
I experienced some excitement as I was walking throug… Continue

Thanks Pat for the free tickets! I enjoyed my evening!
Here's my recap;

Arrived at the BEAUTIFUL Hilbert Circle Theater at 5:45. Got in line and got a complimentary Coke and Tommy Bahama Rum. Yum!
Watched the very entertaining show including music from Star Wars, Beethoven, and Bernstein. One of my favorite pieces was from Gould, Pavanne… Continue

Just wanted to say hello to all my friends that I made while participating in Smaller Indiana conversations in the past few months... Business and life in general have kept me pre-occupied and I will definitely be working my way back in the SI community.
Welcome to all the newcomers! This is a great place to connect with business owners, lots of tech and marketing people, as well as entrepreneurs and tons of creative people in the State of Indiana!
Hope everyone has been well!
All the best,… Continue
I recently met with Tony Scelzo, Jim Brown, and Josh Mitchell. Tony suggested that I listen to Tony Robbins, Lessons in Mastery. So I went on YouTube because I've listened to Tony R on the site before, and wanted to see if Lessons in Mastery was what I had listened to... After finding Tony's videos, I then did a sea… Continue
After a recent discussion about a female with the name Mary using the stage name of Madalene, an interesting topic was raised. I am, unfortunately, not as in tune with religion as I would like to be, but I do know that I have heard Mary Magdalene referenced as a prostitute… Continue
