Feed Me/Drink Me Week in Review: Euphoria, D'Vine Moves, and the Indy Cigar Bar

Is it possible grocery prices are falling as gas prices come down? Certainly at the high end. Things are looking better if you like to eat fresh, local, and better quality. In the meantime, don't forget to order your fresh, farm-raised, natural turkeys for Thanksgiving from your favorite local meat market. More dining news in Indy? Euphoria, the new restaurant in the former Tavern-at-the-Temple space, will soft-launch on October 21. Chef Brad Gates and his team have re-worked the menu, wine and service programs which should give us another great option for dinner downtown (Yea! Valet parking!) More on Euphoria at Feed Me/Drink Me.

* Had a great night out with the boys at the Indy Cigar Bar with a pretty good cigar and Scotch selection -- both pleasant surprises.

* Tony might be along with more info, but D'Vine will move from their space near HouseWorks. They'll close at the end of this month.

Plus, St. Elmo's, the most overrated in town? And pie! (Anyone have any answer for our reader looking for help with an old New Orleans House recipe?)

I'm very close to the D'Vine group. They're considering relocating next to Kings Image (Northside of Castleton) and I'm not sure about that being a good move. I wish they would be patient and find the "perfect" spot. This move is pending financing (so I hear). When you call yourself a wine bar - you better be sophisticated and accomplishing this pertains to location as well. I'll never understand why restaurant/bar owners think they can put any concept just anywhere and invent in their heads they'll be a success. There are way too many legitimate case studies proving the opposite.
