Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Party's over.
We had two final full houses for our show. We turned people away on Saturday night and had to add chairs to our Sunday performance.
Karen did one of our pre-show songs("I didn't know that our romance had ended until you poisoned my food.") with Scott Ballantine, who has been playing with Karen at the Canal Point Grill on Sunday nights all summer. She did beautifully.
A gender studies professor from Butler came up and talked about the fantastic politics of the piece, a pair of people who did improv in NYC for years talked about how stunning the show was and how they thought "Kenny" was really frightening. Ha.
Another person compared us to Mike Nichols and Elaine May.
Another to Monty Python.
Someone else said that even with the rationality of the difference in size between me and Karen, they found themselves scared for Karen when I was Kenny.
We are very grateful for the response to this show and because of it are planning on taking it at least to a fringe in NY, another in Dublin. We do have to find sponsors. Any one interested?
I'll laugh if someone steps up, but we'll be looking anyway.
THANK YOU NUVO MAGAZINE for our award, THANK YOU Eric for doing such a great job working with us, THANK YOU Pauline for putting us in the TOTS mainstage venue.
And thank you to all the people who sat in all the seats for any show, and all the volunteers and, of course, all the technicians.
Bravo!
